This seminar isĀ for professionals in aged care, hospitals, mental health, allied health and social work.

It aims to give you an understanding of the roles that VCAT, the Office of the Public Advocate and State Trustees have in providing guardianship and administration services to vulnerable Victorians.

Topics include:

  • protective measures
  • appointing a guardianDefinitionA person who makes personal lifestyle decisions on behalf of someone with a disability, including decisions about their living arrangements, work arrangements, medical treatment and access to people and services. and/or administrator
  • how and when professionals can best access each partyDefinitionA person or organisation directly involved in a VCAT case, including a person or organisation that has brought the case before VCAT or who is defending claims made against them. on behalf of their patients/clients.
