Annual Report 2012-2013 | The Annual Report contains an overview of VCAT’s performance over the reporting period, as well as key activities undertaken by the Tribunal and the implementation of reforms.

During 2012-13, the number of applications lodged with VCAT exceeded 90,000 for the first time in VCAT’s history. A List A List is an area in VCAT that deals with cases of a similar nature. For example, the Residential Tenancies List decides cases between tenants and landlords, and the Civil Claims List handles disputes about buying or selling goods and services. restructure was undertaken to obtain efficiencies, simplify structure and strengthen governance. This restructure reduced the number of Lists from 16 to 11. In addition, a substantial review of VCAT fees was undertaken by government, resulting in the new Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (Fees) Regulations 2013.
