How can I get help with my application?
We can help you understand what the form is asking. If you need to help to fill in the VCAT application form, talk to us.
Can I apply to VCAT over the phone?
If you don’t have email or the internet you can talk to us to apply to VCAT. We can send you a hard copy form.
How do I get an ASIC extract?
If you are making a claim against a business or company you need to provide an ASIC extract with your application.
Can I bring my own technology to the hearing?
You can use your own electronic device at a hearing, for example a laptop, tablet, smartphone or USB.
Who can represent the owners corporation at VCAT?
If there is more than one applicant in an owners corporation case, one person can represent the others as their ‘agent’.
What if a witness won’t come to VCAT?
You may be able to force a witness to come to VCAT or give us a document if that person refuses. This is called a ‘summons’.
